"Dear Bro. Wilford,
Just a wire in answer to yours. I am enclosing an Introductory letter. I hope it meets with your approval. I may say I was rather surprised to hear about you going to England and all I can wish you is the best of everything. And when you get to your destination and get settled down if you have a few moments to spare, I would be glad to hear from you and would sent you an answer back by return of post. I suppose you got my registered letter. I sent one to Pat too. If they are not meeting next Friday night, ask Pat or suggest to drop me a line and I can stop them from coming up. Well, that's about closed me up and until I hear from you again / Bon voyage and Good Luck, Yours as ever, Ted Langley".
Reverse side has a pencil scribble drawing with "Bruce Wilford" printed in child's handwriting.
