Catalogue: "Jones' 1940 Catalogue of Bee Supplies". Paper cardboard cover of catalogue is white and somewhat glossy. Catalogue is made into book form by having full sheets of paper folded in half once to produce the pages and stapled together.
Front Cover: "Jones' 1940 Catalogue of Bee Supplies", In the middle of the cover is a B.W photograph of bees on a honeycomb. Printed below photograph: "The above is an unusually good picture of actual conditions during the working season in a bee hive. Centre shows queen surrounded by workers and there are also some drones to be seen". At bottom of cover: "62nd Annual Catalogue/ F.W. Jones & Son/ Guelph, Ont./ Telephones: Office: Guelph 652/ Evenings & Holidays Guelph 2634w".
Inside the front cover is an index which lists the items for sale including "Bee Books & Journals", Beginners' Outfits", Drone Traps", "Glass Jars", "Gloves, Bee", "Queen Bees", etc. All text, illustrations and photographs are printed in black and white.
Attached in center of catalogue is a pink-coloured sheet of paper that consists of two different order forms. Also inside catalogue, but separate, is a small green paper order form for a subscription to the Canadian Bee Journal.
