Description Matthew Wells line drawing and letter.
.1 - 1 1/2" drawings of different Matthew-Wells products such as pickles, olives, jams, and jellies. All drawings done in black with a white background.
.2 Letter from H.F. Bankes to all salesmen of Matthew-Wells Company regarding the drawings of products. Pale green paper with green print and black typewritten print. It reads: "We are enclosing an illustrated sheet showing all the line drawing mats that are available for distribution to the trade and we have enclosed this in a celluloid envelope so that you might put it in the back of your photograph book for ready reference.

You will note these are all 1 1/2" mats which seems the most popular size used in newspaper work by your accounts.
