Handwritten letter to Walter Macdonald Esq. from L.A. Wray. Dated: "New York City, Dec. 3, 1898." Handwritten in black ink on white rectangular paper with black printed letterhead: "Law Offices of WRAY & PILSBURY, 149 Broadway, Borough of Manhattan / L.A. WRAY. E.H. PILSBURY. / TELEPHONE, 3159 CORTLANDT." Letter is regarding stamps and Macdonald's stamp collection. Wray notes that letter is being sent to correct information previously given "as to denominations of postage stamps." He further notes that he has enclosed a number of postage stamps which "cost $.624 leaving a balance from draft which I received, to your credit of $1.76." He adds that he has sent "to several out-of-town offices to see" if he can get any of the Columbian issue as in country places, "often times they have old issues not sold, but in N.Y, we can only get them from dealers." The letter is signed, "L.A. Wray."
