Description Memorial Letter from King George V. Beige, rectangular letter on parchment paper. At the top of the letter, there is a red stamp on the words "Buckingham Palace" The letter is in black print stating that the scroll (M986.4.1) is in memorial for the soldiers lost in the war.
"I join with my grateful people in sending you this memorial of a brave life given for others in the Great War."
