Cover is paper with b/w photograph and black and white print on a red background on the front. In large font at top "OPERA" in white with black border. "news" underneath in black cursive style writing. Small font in black to left and below "news" is: "VOLUME XI / NUMBER 24 / 20 CENTS". To the right of this: "APRIL 21, 1947". Again, to the right of this: "PUBLISHED BY THE / METROLPOLITAN/ OPERA GUILD, INC.". Underneath this writing there is a black and white photograph surrounded by a white border. Underneath this is written, again in black: "IN THIS ISSUE: RECORDS OF THE SEASON".
Page one and page three have notes about Edward Johnson. Page 3 announces that General Manager Edward Johnson was "recently elected president of the Canadian Society, which celebrated its fiftieth anniversary last February." Magazine has 32 pages. On the back of the magazine is a black & white advertisement for RCA Victor Records featuring Set Svanholm.
