Description Menu and Toast List for St. George's Society's Annual Dinner, April 23, 1894. Rectangular off-white card with scalloped edges, folded in half. Card forms a cover for a paper insert that has scalloped edges to match the cover. The off-white paper insert is also folded in half to form a four page booklet. The outside of the paper insert, front and back, has a gold, blue and red printed border at the top and bottom of the page.The cover and the paper insert have three holes at the centerfold and a brown cord is drawn through these holes and tied to bind the booklet together.
Front cover has a large red cross outlined in gold. Printed in silver on the cross is: "Annual Dinner 1894". Printed in light purple above and below the cross: "Guelph / St. George's Society / Monday Evening, April 23 / - AT THE - Commercial Hotel. C. Reinhart, Proprietor."
Inside Front cover is the sepia-toned trademark and logo of the printer: "James Hough, Fine Printer, Book Binder, Man'fg Stationer, Paper Boxes, & c. Guelph, Ont." In the middle of the trademark is the logo: "Let Him Who Merits Bear the Palm, Our Work Speaks Our Worth."
Page 1 of paper insert is Britain's Coat of Arms printed in blue and above and below printed in gold: "God Save the Queen / England, Our Country."
Page 2 and 3 - Menu and the Toast List are printed in brown lettering.
Page 4 - In the center is Canada's Coat of Arms printed in blue. Printed in gold above and below the coat of arms: "God Bless Our home. Canada, Our home."
Inside back cover is a sepia-toned photograph of C. Reinhart, under which is printed "MINE HOST".
Back Cover has a sketch of the Commercial Hotel, Macdonnell St., Guelph, Ont. Above and below this, handwritten in pencil: "The rule of civil action prescribed by the higher authority in the state commanding right prohibiting wrong - ? is the life of law - ??? law itself is nothing else but ?"
