Letter and envelope combined in one sheet of paper. Letter addressed to A.J. Fergusson, Esqr., Guelph from a person in Dundas, Upper Canada. Dated August 23, 1842. Letter is a request for A.J. Fergusson's opinion concerning a 2,000 pound Bail Bond to the sheriff in Coleman. If satisfactory, the letter requests him to send it together with the writ. There is a handwritten note below the letter, which is very difficult to read.
Reverse side with address still has red wax seal used to close letter. Post mark and rate shown. Marked and stamped "Paid."
