Envelope and Letter addressed to Miss Estella Bricker, Waterloo, Ont.
Letter from Estella's Aunt Sue who lives on Cartier St., in Ottawa. Letter dated February 8th, 1902. Handwritten in black ink on a rectangular sheet of paper, single folded to form four pages.
Letter thanks Estelle for a photograph she sent to her aunt who thinks it is "splendid" likeness of her. "You have such a good, bright expression on your face, and look so happy - By and By you will have to persuade your dear boy to give me one of his to match yours.' She speaks of how lucky she is to have Mr. Goldie so close to her, which was not the case for her aunt. She and "Eddie" lived far apart during their courtship and there were no telephones then. "We were obliged to do most of our courtship through correspondence. She talks about Estella purchasing part of her trousseau in Toronto, as well as sewing some of it. She notes that Mr. Goldie's "aged Mother" wrote Estella a "very loving letter."
Bricker, Estelle A.
