Description Booklet, "The Telephone Girl - A Woman's Work" issued by the Bell Telephone Co. of Canada. Bell Co. trademark is printed on page 1 of booklet. Paper cover with illustration of a woman telephone operator against a lavender coloured background. Title, "The Telephone Girl" is printed in white letters. Inside pages are white with black printed lettering and coloured photographs of telephone operators at work, as well as images of the rest room, lunch room and a class room in a City Telephone Exchanger. Topics discussed are: nature of the work; a school of instruction; apprenticeship; supervisors; promotions; chief operators; salary and prospects; necessary qualifications; lunch rooms; and making application."
