Title Advertising Card/ Notice of Shop Closing, 'Elephant' Clothing Store

Description Advertising Card; one side has a pink and red hued picture of a girl in a dress with a striped pinafore and striped stockings. She has long dark hair and is wearing a light hat with a dark bow on it. She is playing with a cat who is standing on its rear legs as if dancing. The cat does not look pleased. The upper part of the picture which supposedly the sky is a greenish-brown colour.
On the reverse side is black printed text on a white paper card; the message is to inform customers that the store will be closing and all the clothing has been reduced in price to clear the whole stock.
"..... THRUST INTO A HORNET'S NEST would not cause more consternation among the people than the announcement we now make. WE SHALL CLOSE UP OUR STORE ON THE 29th DEC.
All the clothing has been reduced to rock bottom prices. Each garment is marked in red figures, and at those prices we hope to clear out the whole stock. Come early and secure a bargain. 'ELEPHANT' CLOTHING STORE, GUELPH."
