Description Booklet, "Why we chose Guelph - The Story of Guelph - Ontario's Royal City." 32 page booklet, stapled with cardboard cover. Front Cover is green, orange, black and white. Has picture of a family looking at a window that shows various images of Guelph. Printed in black and green letters at the top: "Why we chose GUELPH". At the bottom of the cover is printed: "The Story of Guelph, Ontario's Royal City," above which is a green and white crown. Printed on the back cover is the Coat of Arms of Guelph in orange, black and beige. Printed in black: "COAT OF ARMS OF GUELPH / ONTARIO'S ROYAL CITY / Issued by the CITY OF GUELPH, 1945."
Inside front cover is a map showing approximate mileage from Guelph, as well as the principal railways and main highways.
Inside of back cover is a b/w aerial view of the central section of Guelph. With the aid of b/w photographs, the book is a narrated description of Guelph, past and present. It covers Guelph industries, churches, education, recreation, statistical information that promoted Guelph as a city.
