Dated November 30 1891, this is an Invoice to Mr. John McAteer from Robert Mitchell, "Importer of Groceries, Provisions, Fruits, Crockery, Glassware, Etc." The final amount on the invoice is $54.06.
Some of the things listed are tea, rice, soap, a basket of apples, lemons, whiskey, currants, raisins, flour, oranges, scrub brushes, stove polish, several boxes of matches, glasses, oatmeal, syrup, coconut, barley and corn starch.
These items were acquired over the following dates in November: 4, 6, 7, 10, 11, 18, 20, 21, 26, 27, and 28.
The invoice itself consists of a printed form on beige lined paper and includes the address of Robert Mitchell's establishment printed on the top of the page: 21 Lower Wyndham Street.
The invoice has been filled out by hand in a handwriting resembling calligraphy, using what seems to be a pen dipped in black ink.
