Description This is a small beige envelope. On the top left, it says: "Army Form C. 398 Dispatched Received Signature of Receiver" The top right: "Date Rate" Underlined. 2 green stamps "Postzegel Z. AFR. Republick 1/2 Penny" There is an unclear postmark in black which partially covers the stamps. Beneath this is a section for the address. "Lieut. Col. McCrae Guelph, Ontario, Canada" is centred. "From J McC D.RCA" is off to the left. "This envelope to be returned to bearer." is typed along the bottom. On the back of the envelope there are two circular black postmarks on the right side. The top one is from Guelph dated Dec. 24 00. and the bottom dated Dec. 25 00. though the origin is unknown. The top and right, back corner (top) of the envelope has been taped.
