Description Stamp, Postage; Set of six stamps mounted on a piece of writing paper. Writing paper is white, top edge is torn and in blue print is the name "Alfred D. Hales" in the middle on the top of the piece of paper. Stamps are arranged in two rows, three stamps vertically by two stamps horizontally, and stamps are fixed to the writing paper by a 1 cm stamp edge to the left of the vertical row of stamps. Stamps have a green border, with a coloured sketch of John McCrae and crosses with poppies blooming. Two lines of "In Flanders Fields" are printed in black, in McCrae's writing.
Writing paper "ALFRED D. HALES", printed, "GUELPH", handwritten, Stamps read: "CANADA POSTAGE, POSTES, 5, JOHN MCCRAE, 1872-1918, IN FLANDERS FIELDS THE POPPIES BLOW, BETWEEN THE CROSSES ROW ON ROW"
