Description Cream coloured newspaper with black print. The Guelph Weekly Mercury, January 1, 1914. There is no huge headline but some of the front page stories are :"Eight will hav to be left at home" "Hood and Benallick Moving Today" "Christmas At The Children's Shelter Was A Great Event - Friends Had Given Freely". The paper has a photo of a ploughing scene in late December in Alberta. The paper is six pages (three double sided).
