According to accession register, were found under roof - There since 1890 when house was bought from Mrs. Ainlay (who used to hide things in the trees!)"
Richard Ainlay was the son of Thomas Ainlay (born 1789) and was born in England in 1817, he was a carpenter and in 1849 was a member of the Guelph Fire Company. He owned a lumber business from 1851 to 1876 and was a member of Norfolk Street Methodist Church being Sunday School Superintendent from 1842-1857.
