Description Receipt; rectangular white paper with top half being black print letterhead and logo. The bottom half is marked off into four columns by pink and blue printed lines. Receipt is addressed to Mr. A & J. Micklejohn, Harriston and is dated: "31st May 1892".
In handwritten black ink in columns: "1 only 1Axle 1 in x 6 #11 Right 4.22 1.06 / 50% .53 / .53 / 10% .05 .48 / .30 / .78 / Canada Express."
Letterhead reads: "GUELPH AXLE WORKS GUELPH, ONT / Bought of T. Pepper & Co. MANUFACTURER OF THE CELEBRATED ANCHOR BRAND CARRIAGE AND WAGGON AXLES. OFFICE - AT WORKS, WELLINGTON ST." In the upper left corner is the company trademark which is an anchor lying sideways with "GUELPH AXLE WORKS" printed on it.
Printed along horizontal blue/red lines dividing page in half is printed:
"KELSO, PRINTER".
