"Toronto and Goderich Railroad, By Way of Guelph. / John W. Gwynne, Esq., Of Toronto, Having arrived in Guelph, and having agreed to offer a statement showing the great advantage to be derived by this section of the country from the above undertaking, the public are invited to meet him for that purpose at Thorp's Hotel, on Saturday next, at 3 o'clock, p.m.; and it is hoped, that notwithstanding the unavoidable shortness of the notice, a large meeting will be assembled. / Guelph, 26th May 1947. / Printed at the Advertiser Office, Guelph."
