Description McCrae Family Bible. The Bible is a brown leather bound Bible with an old and new testament. On the front page there is an inscription "Thomas McCrae and Jane Campbell's Book 1842". It is inscribed also with "Thomas McCrae and Jane Campbell's Book 1850". Halfway into the book - at the New Testament section - the book is inscribed with McCrae family information. There is a loose piece of paper that says "Mareon Munro was born 12 Oct. 1793". To the left of the New Testament front page is a blank page inscribed with the family history. It reads:
"Thomas McCrae & Jane Campbell was married the 15 of March 1842.
William McCrae their son was born October 29, 1842 & died September the 8 1844.
David McCrae was born January 28 1845.
Margaret McCrae was born January 19, 1847.
A daughter born at sea on board the ship Curperon April the 8 1849 and died April the 18th 1849 on board the same ship
Mareon McCrae was born September 31 1850
William McCrae was born February 14th 1853
Mareon McCrae died 19th July 1853 aged 2 years & ten months
Jane McCrae was born 23rd September 1855"

The Bible itself was published in 1825 in Edinburgh by Sir D. Hunter Blair and M.S. Bruce
