Description Black and white newspaper called "Farming", dated October 12, 1897. The newspaper was published weekly by The Bryant Press in Toronto Canada. On the front of the newspaper there is a picture of D. McCrae from Guelph. There is an article on Lieut. -Col. McCrae within the newspaper, that speaks of his farming abilities, and his encouragement of local farmers to "keep more sheep." Included in the newspaper is advertisements for cows, sheep and entire herds for sale. The newspaper holds short articles on topics such as "sugar beets in the United States" and "Winter Dairying." The last page on the paper functions as a wanted section, with titles such as "Butter and Cheese Maker Wanted." The final page of the newspaper has a contest in which you fill in the missing letters of a word similar to our modern crosswords. There is an ad on last page for the Bell Piano & Organ Company
