.1 Letter from Fiorenza Drew to Stella, dated May 14th, 1959. Typewritten in black type on rectangular pale blue paper. Address is printed in blue in upper right corner: "12, Upper Brook Street, London, W1". Letter is signed in blue ink at the bottom: "All my love... Fiorenza."
Letter is to "My dear Stella" and thanks her for her "many kindnesses" to Fiorenza during the time of her father's funeral (Edward Johnson." She also thanks her for her donation to the Edward Johnson Music Foundation.
.2 Envelope is pale blue. In upper left corner is a blue stamp with "By Air Mail" printed in white letters. Addressed to "Mrs. Gordon Johnon [Johnson], 120 Glasgow Street, Guelph, Ontario, Canada." At top middle is a black stamp indicating the place and time of mailing: "London, S.W.1 / 6.15 P.M. 13 May 1959". In upper right corner is a green postage stamp with Queen Elizabeth II's image on it.
On reverse of envelope is a handwritten note in blue pen.
