Company letterhead at top of page: "COLONIAL WHITEWEAR CO. LIMITED / E. H. CHART, PRESIDENT / A.L. MORITZ, VICE-PRESIDENT/ CABLE ADDRESS "COLONIAL / MANUFACTURERS OF LADIES' HIGH CLASS DRESSES, SHIRTWAISTS./ GUELPH CANADA". Below company name is printed company logo - a sketch of the factory building in Guelph.
The letter is from the company president, E.H. Carter, who explains to employees the terms and conditions of a group life insurance which the company has made with the Aetna Life Insurance Company.
"It will be necessary for seventy-five per cent to co-operate in this plan before the contract can be put in force. / We enclose application for completion and signature, and would ask for its return at the first possible moment. Yours faithfully, President"
