Off-white paper brochure folded eight times with nine panels, printed on both sides. Front and back covers are the same, printed in red with an illustration of a train engine with print on and around it: "Phillips Judson Co.'s Select Personally Conducted Overland Excursions - Through Cars, Fine Scenery, Low Rates - California / Through Pullman Tourist Sleepers / Select Personally Conducted Excursions." Under the engine is printed in white letters against a red background: "Leave Chicago Every Thursday by Chicago & Alton 9.00 A.M. Train / Geo. H. Lennartz, Agent, Room 349 Marquette Building, 204 Dearborn Street, Chicago." Pages include b/w photographs of boarding the train, sitting in the compartment, the washroom, the dining car, the sleeping car, the observation car, and a "bird's eye view of Pomona."
There is also a Map of "The True Southern Route." Other contents include a time schedule, Testimonials, and a description of the excursions available, as well as a list of representative agencies.
