The paper is six sections with the first section mainly covering the day's news and then the following five sections (sections A-E) looking at Guelph's progress and business. The front page of section 1 has a colour zodiac ring with a map of Ontario in the center with Guelph highlighted. In the upper right corner is an illustration of a satellite. The photo is courtesy of Don Hamilton and shows the double row of sugar maple trees that were planted on Waterloo Avenue (what was the stage-coach route) in the early 1860s, shortly after the founding of the Guelph Horticultural Society. This issue commemorates the 130th anniversary of the founding of the Guelph Horticultural Society. In addition to articles on horticulture, there is an article "Beginnings" by H.E. Markle. This article speaks a little to the history of the G.H.

Mr. Tillman was elected the new president of the club. The paper was signed by Mr. Tillman in black ink at the bottom of the page.
