Program - "Special Thanksgiving Services, Norfolk St. Methodist Church, Guelph" for Sunday January 25, 1914 and Monday January 26, 1914. The church is celebrating the paying off of its mortgage. Pale green sheet of paper folded in half to form a four page leaflet. Text is printed dark blue lettering. Thanksgiving services, January 25-26, 1914. On opening the program, the left side has the order of services for both the morning and evening services on Sunday, January 25th, 1914. On the right side is printed "Notices for the Week". Binding of booklet done by Frank Nunan's Up-to-date Bindery, Upper Wyndham St. Booklet has many advertisements for many different Guelph businesses in 1907.

A large brown book with maroon spine and tips with a blue label in the centre with black printing. Title reads; "Insurance Plan/of/ Guelph./Ontario./Published by/Chas. E. Goad. Civil Engineer,/Montreal" Stamped at the top and bottom of the label is "F. Grundy". It is also stamped 3 times on the inside cover. There are three pieces of paper here: the first is part of the book, "This plan has been revised to" written in pencil "June 1888 & Nov 1892". Catalogue - "Souvenir Catalogue / First Amalgamated Ontario Provincial Winter Fair / Guelph, Dec. 11 to 14, 1900." Cover is heavy purple paper with printed text in gold lettering. There is a double lined gold border around the outside of the front cover. At the bottom of front cover, the border becomes more elaborate with gold swirls. Booklet is bound together by two staples and black print on white paper. Front page has a b/w drawing of the Congregational Church on Quebec Street in 1840. First two pages are an introduction by Shutt to Knighton's history: "A Brief Statement of the Main Facts in the History of The Guelph Congregational Church" written by Knighton in 1927. Statement: rectangular cream coloured paper with letterhead in grey and black print, and handwriting in black ink. Lower portion of paper is divided into columns with blue and pink lines. Issued to Mr. P. Spragge and dated "Sep 30 1895". Letterhead: "CROWE'S IRON WORKS, GUELPH / TO JOHN CROWE, Dr., MANUFACTURER OF Superior Grey Iron Castings." Printer's name is printed on the left side of the horizontal pink line dividing paper: "HOUGH, PRINTER". In handwritten ink is listed various iron related items purchased on credit by Spragge for a balance of $92.25. Mr. Spragge returned on chain for $18.75, leaving a balance of $73.50."

1985.82.121 - Book

Jubilee Souvenir of the Norfolk St. Methodist Church 1836-1906. The book is soft cover with a string binding. The cover is a light brown with dark brown print. the string is tied at the front and was at one time red but has faded. On the back it reads "Copies of this Souvenir Book can be obtained from Mr. Homer Precious, cor. Paisley and Arnold Streets, at 35 cents each, or three for $1.00. Postage 5 cents each copy." The book is 50 pages and has a detailed history of the Church along with many black and white photographs of the church and its parishoners.

The front cover is a light mottled brown with an image of the church on the front. On the back cover are some more images of the church. The book contains a history of the church with several photographs throughout.
