Small piece of beige paper with a note written in black ink. The note has been written with a double nibbed pen because the letters are written in double. The note is about the weather and wishing the reader a happy new Year. The letter is written by William Thain in 1950. On the back of the paper is "A Gibson Card Gibson Cincinnati, USA" printed in black along the bottom. The V and the laurel wreath are felt and in the centre of the flag. In the lower right corner is a felt crest with the roman numerals VIII - signifying the eighth campaign for Victory Bonds.
