2004.69.1 - Certificate, Achievement

Certificate of staff members of Taylor Forbes Ltd. that volunteered for active service with Canada's Fighting Forces in World War II. The poster is on cream coloured card stock with a red and cream coloured border. At the top, in full colour, is the Canadian crest with the coats of arms representing the provinces at the time surrounding the crest. The crest has the lion on one side, the unicorn on the other, the Canadian coat of arms in the center, a lion with a crown on top and "A MARI USQUE AD MARE" Below the crest is "For King and Country members of Taylor-Forbes Limited who have volunteered for active service with Canada's Fighting Forces". Acta Nostra Guelph Collegiate Vocational Institute Yearbook. The cover is tan in colour and textured. The name of the yearbook at the top left of the front cover in green text and with an underline. In the middle there is a black line drawing of the front of the school with a flag on the top and a tree of the left. At the bottom of the front cover there is a green box with a dark green outline. In the box there is text stating who published the yearbook. Directly on top of the box is the date (1933). The back cover consists of an advertisement for Neilson's chocolate in green.
