Each page is dedicated to a different person and gives an itemized list of food and other items purchased as well as price and payment. Some people have multiple pages dedicated to their purchases throughout the book. The spine and corners of the front and back covers are covered with tan coloured leather. Also on the spine "Journal" is printed in gold against a maroon background.
