Back cover is covered in advertisements for local Guelph businesses. Both pages inside front cover and inside back cover are also full of advertisements. Paperback cover; Front cover has picture of Edward Johnson in costume; white background with red and black printed lettering. Under picture of Johnson is printed: "The Canadian Who Wears Caruso's Costumes." Blue soft cover book "Historical Highlights of Wellington County" by Hazel Mack. The book has black type on the cover along with an illustration of a man chopping a log. On the inside front cover, in ink is an inscription "Donated to the Guelph Civic Museum by Mrs. Hazel Mack from Fergus, Ont. Dec. 1968" The book was published in 1956. The book tells a brief history of some of the towns in Wellington County. Guelph's history is from page 5 to 12.The book is 32 pages in length and covers the history of Rockwood, Arkell, Ennottville, and Eden Mills.

Booklet "Records of the Wellington County Historical Society Volume 1, 1932" The booklet is soft cover with a stapled binding. The cover is light grey with black type. The booklet is 18 pages and includes black and white images. The first article is "The Milling Industry Guelph and Vicinity" by David Allan. The article looks at the Canada Company Mill, Allan's Mill, the Red Mill, Victoria Mill, People's Mill, Wellington mill, Speedvale Mill, Phoenix Mill, and Fergusson's Mill. There are also articles on the history of Mount Forest, Elora, The Carter Family, and some early settlers written by Jean McCrae Matthews.
