Very poor condition and should only be handled when absolutely necessary City of Guelph fire insurance plan February 1897 revised to 1907 and then revised again in September 1916. The plan has a black hard cloth cover. The first page has a street index. In the upper right corner there is a blue label that describes the revisions "Surveyed Feb'y 1897 revised to Sept. 1916 new sheets 35 to 38 are added population 16,738 ..." Page 2 is the map of the city with colour coding showing which page each area is shown. There is also a legend showing what each abbreviation or symbol means. Each ticket is blue/grey paper with a number printed in black at the top of the front. .1 - 5690 ; .2 - 5689 ; .3 - 5688 ; .4 - 5687 ; .5 - 5686 Front of each ticket has red printed border and black lettering: "Guelph St. Ry. Co. / Geo. Sleeman, Pres." Reverse side of each ticket has a black printed border of stars and under bottom of border is printed: "Good For One Fare."

Letter. Ten page typed carbon copied letter to the Chief Engineer of the Guelph Radial Railway Company. The letter gives the estimate of cost for building an extension of the street railway from Guelph to Hespeler, Puslinch Lake, Elora, and Fergus. The letter also looks into the feasibility of these extensions. The Hespeler line is recommended but the Fergus Elora lines and the Puslinch Line require further study. The Bill transfers the railway from the Commission (The Hydro-Electric Power Commission of Ontario) to the Corporation (City of Guelph) for $321, 750. The Bill also establishes the Transportation Commission who are entrusted to control, manage, and operate the railway and other methods of transportation. The bill is composed of eleven sections. The bill is in a booklet format with seven pages. The Act is written on the left side of each page and the right pages are used for explanatory notes. The last four right pages have no writing. Black book with maroon spine. Spine is all ripped up and falling apart. There is white paint splatter along the edges of the front cover, clean rectangular shape in middle where .8 probably was sitting when it happened. Back cover has white stains and bubbling. There is marble/colourful design along the page edges facing out. Runs 1903-1908. Ends about half-way through the book. Listing of # of passengers, $ for No. 4 Car.

Streetcars in the foreground with people on them or disembarking from them. Street scene with Wyndham Street buildings and people on the sidewalk, and armoury in background. On reverse side, addressed to Mrs. S.H. Thorne, Bobcaygeon, Ontario. Postmarked Guelph, Ontario Jul 21, 1911. Green one cent stamp with King Edward VII(?). Return address is 447 Elora Road, Guelph. Writing on back mentions receiving a telegram, and visiting MacDonald school and taking a street car to buy some silk for a centrepiece. Signed "Gladys".
