Map, paper. Appears to be copy of hand-drawn original. Upper left corner is written: "MAP / OF THE / CITY OF / GUELPH / IN THE / PROVINCE OF ONTARIO" in stylized writing with floral designs around it. Underneath this is written: "Showing:- Public Buildings - Black / Factories by Number / Scale - 10 Chains to one Inch." On left there is a numbered list of factories, headed by "Location of City Factories etc.". Bottom left is "Published by / C.L. NELLES / Bookseller & Stationer / GUELPH. ONTARIO.". Map covers area from Forest St. at the bottom to "Road at the North West Limit of the City" at the top, and from Silvercreek Road on the left to Victoria Road on the right.

Front cover: printed in black and red type with red highlights. Has B/W photograph of the Guelph General Hospital in lower right corner. Binding of booklet done by Frank Nunan's Up-to-date Bindery, Upper Wyndham St. Booklet has many advertisements for many different Guelph businesses in 1907.

1930 GCVI Acta Nostra Yearbook. The cover is a green textured paper with the title in dark blue. In the centre is a small embossed picture of the school with the latin motto beneath. At the bottom is the date of the yearbook and that it is published by the students of GCVI. The book is filled with essays, artwork, photos etc. of the students of GCVI. There are also ads of local businesses inised. The yearbook is 148 pages in length.

1896 Directory includes businesses, names and advertisements for Halton, Waterloo and Wellington Counties, including Guelph. (pages 247-258) Advertisements on outside cover, red spine with gold writing.

1972.20.16 - Book, Year

The Torch 1944 Yearbook Vol. XI. The book has a light brown cover with and illustration of a hand holding a torch. The book tells of the happenings of the Col John McCrae Branch of the Legion over the year 1944. The book is also filled with ads of local businesses.

1976.40.46 - Book

Book "Souvenir of the 28th Annual Convention of The Trades and Labour Congress of Canada in Guelph, Ontario, September 1912" The book is hardcover with a dark red cover with gold print. The book is 102 pages in length and has photos of different unions, members of Guelph Labour Council and ads from companies all over the country.

1992.69.1 - Plan, Fire Insurance

London Assurance Company Fire Insurance Plan for 1881 revised to 1892. The plan is a hard cover book with a brown cloth cover with leather spine and corners. The book has a paper label on the front cover. On the inside front cover there is another paper label from the insurance company. The book contains twelve pages of maps that cover the downtown area of Guelph. On each page the different colour buildings represent the different building materials used. There are sections of the maps that have been overpasted when it was revised.

Acta Nostra Guelph Collegiate Vocational Institute Yearbook. The cover is blue in colour and textured. The name of the yearbook is in the centre of the front cover in gold text. At the top there is the school's coat of arms in a darker blue. At the bottom in darker blue as well there is the date and text that explains how the yearbook was published. On the back there is an advertisement for Neilson's chocolate in dark blue. Throughout the book there are pictures of the students and teachers, names, pictures of sports teams and various events, and advertisements.
