Guelph Arts Council Newsletter February 1977. The newsletter is four pages long, folded once and printed on goldenrod coloured paper. There is a note attached to the front of the newsletter. It is typed with handwriting on the top and bottom. The newsletter outlines events that are happening throughout Guelph in February 1977. Some Sesquicentennial events are highlighted as well. Front Page: "The Arts in Guelph, Volume 2, Number 18 February 1977" across the top. The article on the front page "Old Guelph: It's People and Buildings" discusses the development as well as promotes a series of walking tours performed by Professor Gordon Couling for the Sesquicentennial. Map; One side of map depicts Guelph and surrounding townships; Township of Guelph and Township of Puslinch. Along the bottom of this side is the street index. The opposite side of the page contains four smaller maps. The first is considerably larger than the others. It shows Guelph in relation to the surrounding areas, this includes the Wellington County, Peel, part of York, Halton, Hamilton, Wentworth, part of Brant, and Waterloo. The other three maps depicts the Township of Eramosa, Erin and Nichol.This side also contains a street index for Elora-Fergus and a legend.

Booklet, "Guelphscape 70"...The Field Trip." Don Coulman compiled this 50 page booklet is dated Friday October 24, 1970. This is a photocopy of the original typewritten booklet. The contents are divided into five sections: a map of the field trip route; the field trip programme itself; notes including references; "how it was done"; and "Field trip suggestions." The field trip begins at King George School and covers what was the more historic areas of Guelph and its downtown. The locations of all the streets in Guelph are listed. Dated 1955. "Proposed Street Name Changes after 1956" can be viewed on page 103. Guelph Horticultural Society Festival of Flowers Program 1967. The festival was held at the Memorial Gardens August 24, 25 and 26. It was an official Canadian Centennial Event. The program is six pages long, stapled in the middle and printed on white paper with black text. Most of the program is a detailed list of the various categories of entry in the competition under the multiple classes (Class A, B, C, D and E). On pages three and four there is some handwritten text in red ink along the margins.
