Rectangular bank note made of fine paper. The Ontario Bank crest is on the right hand side. There is a tear-off portion that says "No protest for Non Acceptance". The note has a line for amount, date, to whom, from whom. There is writing on the note in black ink.

Letter from Thomas Y. Greet to his brother Charlie, dated March 23, 1893. Sheet of paper folded in half and written on both sides. Letterhead: "Thos. Y. Greet, Ontario Bank, Kingston" printed in black script at top of front page. Thomas writes about his malady. He is annoyed with Saunders who has never said a word to him about his malady being incurable. T.Y. Greet states that "I am not a baby and should not be treated as one."

A large brown book with maroon spine and tips with a blue label in the centre with black printing. Title reads; "Insurance Plan/of/ Guelph./Ontario./Published by/Chas. E. Goad. Civil Engineer,/Montreal" Stamped at the top and bottom of the label is "F. Grundy". It is also stamped 3 times on the inside cover. There are three pieces of paper here: the first is part of the book, "This plan has been revised to" written in pencil "June 1888 & Nov 1892". "Free of expense to the Company owning it, and is returned to the local agent," the name has been erased and a dark smudge left so the name cannot be made out....The next piece of paper is white and has been taped inside just below. Draft of a Promissory Note, printed on off-white paper in grey/black ink. Issued to John Horsman, Hardware Merchant, at the Ontario Bank for the amount of $34.84. Due date is written in as "January 20th, 1864" and should be January 20th, 1865." It is dated : "Guelph, September 17th, 1864," and reads: "Four months after date I promise to pay to the Order of John Horsman at the Ontario Bank - here- Thirty four dollars and 84 cents for Value received." The signature of Edward Thomas has been cut off and written in pencil to the right of that space. The printer's name is printed in grey ink under Edward Thomas' signature: "W.C. Chewitt & Co. Lith. 1992.69.1 - Plan, Fire Insurance

London Assurance Company Fire Insurance Plan for 1881 revised to 1892. The plan is a hard cover book with a brown cloth cover with leather spine and corners. The book has a paper label on the front cover. On the inside front cover there is another paper label from the insurance company. The book contains twelve pages of maps that cover the downtown area of Guelph. On each page the different colour buildings represent the different building materials used. There are sections of the maps that have been overpasted when it was revised.

Invoice slip from the Ontario Bank Guelph Bank to G. D. Pringle for $508.00. The invoice slip/promisory note reads "four months after date I promise to pay the order of G.D. Pringle tread St Andrews Church at the Ontario Bank Guelph five hundred and eight dollars for value received". At the bottom it is signed by W.B. Caneau. The invoice has been stamped by the Ontario Bank and is post marked by the Ontario Bank Feb 14 1883. On the left there is a black and white image of a man seated in a chair.
