2004.23.1 - Booklet

Booklet with light brown green cover with a maple leaf and a 1954 calendar on the front. The booklet is set up like a personal address book with tabs in alphabetical order. The tabs are divided by business types, like architect, cleaner, hardware, etc. One side of the pages are blank for entries that a person would want to make in a particular category. The back side of the pages has ads of local businesses often coinciding with the category of that page. Some of the ads include photographs. On the back of the booklet are the emergency phone numbers for Guelph and ads for Mayfern Textiles and Perfection Cleaners.

Receipt - dental receipt for payment of balance for services rendered (a crown) to Mrs. John Spalding. Issued Jan.21, 1910 by Dr. H.C. Skinner, Dentist. Beige rectangular paper with top third being the letterhead in black printed lettering. Lower two third is marked off into seven columns with printed black lines. In handwritten black ink is a list of the date, the professional services rendered and balance due ($5.75). Under this, Dr. H.C. Skinner has written that the balance was "Paid/ Jan. 21 /10 / H.C.Skinner". Letterhead reads: "OFFICE - ST. GEORGE'S SQUARE OVER JOS. PEQUEGNAT'S / GUELPH / IN ACCOUNT WITH DR. H.C. St. George's Church Parochial Magazine for September 1894. Paper magazine, full sheets of paper folded and stapled once to produce booklet. Dated September, 1894. Title is "St. George's Church Parochial Magazine". Black and white throughout with lithographs, drawings and copies of paintings. Inside are stories regarding their faith and the cover lists clergy members, church scheduling daily and the calendar for September events. Front cover is missing. Back cover inside and outside has advertisements for various businesses in Guelph. Parchment paper programme. The cover has one edge that is similar to a deckle edge but looks like it has been torn. The front cover has a black line border and written there is a description of the nights events, all written in black ink. Near the top, there is a crest of the school. Inside, there are advertisements along the top and bottom and in between are the credits of participants in Theatre Night. On the back there are advertisements on the top and bottom and in between there are credits for the production staff.
