Description |
Photograph of a black and white photograph of the foundation of a building on Upper Wyndham Street, circa 1925 This is likely the Stewart Lumber building after demolition after the huge fire in 1921. The lot is surrounded by a wood fence and has the remains of a stone foundation. The back of a billboard is seen on the lot and more billboards are just off to the side of the lot. On of the ads is for Cottee & Rowen - the Men's shop and another id for Wrigleuy's P.K. gum. In the background, the Wellington Hotel is visible. On the back, in pencil is "Upper wyndham". A black stamp "F. Grundy" is also stamped on the back. |
