Hay Fork - metal
-Originally Black, 2 metal prongs with rotating points controlled by lever at top

In Good condition - rusted.
Hay fork would be suspended by a rope through "eye" at center top then lowered from the beam of the barn to the hay bale, the 2 hooks would be punched down through the bale, the points would be turned inward and then the bale would be lifted and carried to its destination using a system of pulleys. Louden Machinery Co. operated in Guelph between 1917 and 1932, and was later absorbed into Beatty Bros. of Fergus, now General Steel Wares.
