Title Lion Statue from The Guelph Mercury Office

Description Lion statue from The Guelph Mercury office. Likely made with iron and cast from a mould. It is mostly a dark grey-ish black colour with accents of bronze. The lion is fairly lean and muscular with a large mane and is standing up with its mouth open. Its is standing on a rock formation that is slightly higher at the front. There is a small metal medallion attached near the back of the base that reads "made in Paris". Just below there is a word engraved into the base, "Remorus" (?). The enclosed bottom is covered in yellow paint with an opening at each end where it would have been secured.
