Description |
Advertising postcard; rectangular white cardboard with a hole punched at the top for the purposes of hanging on a wall. One side is a printed advertisement for Genuine Thacker Coal and the other side is white with handwritten address "Guelph Worsted Spinning Co., Guelph, Ont." and green one cent American stamp with Benjamin Franklin on it. Stamped beside the stamp is "DETROIT, MICH. 1904". The printed advertisement is coloured blue background with a white rectangular square on the left side. On this square printed in red and blue lettering is an ad noting the benefits of Genuine Thacker Coal. At the bottom is printed " E. A. Skae, Miner and Shipper, Detroit, Mich. / Don't forget us for.... " In the very bottom left corner is printed in blue the advertiser's name: "All rights reserved by the Curtis Adv. Co., Detroit." On the right hand side of advertisement is an illustration of a young woman in red and white dress with a white hat and white shoes, She is leaning toward the printed text as if she is reading it. |
