Postcard titled "GUELPHS LEADING HOTEL, THE NEW WELLINGTON, GUELPH, ONTARIO-13." published by PHOTOGELATINE ENGRAVING CO. LIMITED, OTTAWA. The front of the postcard features a view of the Wellington Hotel, Woolwich St. and east side of Upper Wyndham St. looking south. The Wellington Hotel is a Second Empire style with a mansard roof, iron cresting, dormer windows, imposing dome and striped awnings on all buildings. Automobliles are parked on the street. Lewis and Williams Insurance is at the base of the building. The image is captioned in black text printed along the lower center. Also hand written on the front is: "SUN. MARCH 25TH, 1945." The back of the postcard is blank. |
