At the top is the elaborate Canadian Coat of Arms, with rearing lion holding a flag with the union jack facing a chained rearing unicorn holding a flag with three Fleur de Lis on a background of blue. The Shield in between them is broken into five with the upper two squares housing stylized lions, the center two blue squares enclosing a harp and three Fluer de Lis and the rounded bottom portion in white with three green maple leaves. Above the shield is crowned lion holding a maple leaf on a helmet surrounded by damask in red and white with another large crown at the very top extending past the border. The text following the coat of arms reads "For King and Country" in blue underlined by a band of green maple leaves. Next it states "Members of Central and Alexandra Schools Who Have Volunteered for Active Service With Canada's Fighting Forces," the schools portion is recorded by hand in black in while all the rest is printed in blue. The left shield is topped with the union jack and the bottom is a red cross, the central shield is topped the same but the bottom has three red maple leaves and three gold Fleur de Lis enclosed in a circle of blue, and the right shield is topped the same with a blue circle band surrounding a red maple leaf at the bottom. The list is split into two columns and either side is separated by a red and white sword. The handle is red and sits in the center of the upper band of clovers and the long blade is white. 36 names on the list in alphabetical order, each name underlined with a red line.
