Postcard from Guelph, Ontario to Downers Grove Ill. USA, postmarked Jun 3 1912. Published by THE VALENTINES & SONS PUBLISHING CO. LTD. MONTREAL AND TORONTO "PRINTED IN GREAT BRITAIN". The front of the postcard features a view of St. George's Square and upper Wyndham St. showing the Tovell Building, Post Office, flower bed and Blacksmith Fountain in the centre of the Square. The spire of St. George's Church and Bank of Commerce are visible. There is a street car on the road. The image is captioned "ST. GEORGE'S SQUARE AND UPPER WYNDHAM STREET, GUELPH, ONT. CANADA" in red text printed along the top right. Addressed to "Mrs. C Anderson Downers Grove Ill. USA." The postmark reads "Guelph, Ontario Jun 3 1912" and is stamped in black ink on the back. |
