Postcard from Erin, Ont. to Hillsburg, Ont. postmarked Oct. 5 1910. Published by "THE VALENTINE & SONS PUBLISHING CO. LTD. TORONTO AND WINNIPEG" "PRINTED IN USA" The front of the postcard features a view of Guelph looking west across the Speed River from Grange Street. The image is captioned "Bird's Eye View of Guelpph, Ont., Canada." in black text printed along the top middle. The message written on the back in pencil reads: "Dear Folk By the time you get this Health & weather permiting we will be half thrashed. We had to go to Marsville yesterday & Ethel said she would come & stop & help so as I was so rushed to go for you I accepted her offer. You can come when we are not as busy. [illegible] changed his route. Lizzie" Addressed to "Mrs John Roszell Hillsburg, Ont." The postmark reads "Erin Ont. Oc 5 1910" and is stamped in black ink on the back. |
