Postcard from Guelph, Ont. to Walkerton, Ont., postmarked 4Aug1908. Published by WARWICK BROS & RUTTER LIMITED PRINTERS TORONTO. The front of the postcard features a view of the east side of Upper Wyndham Street from St. George's Square showing the Post Office and flower bed and Blacksmith's Fountain in the centre of the Square. People are walking and there are horse & buggies on the street. The image is captioned "UPPER WYNDHAM STREET FROM ST. GEORGE'S SQUARE, GUELPH" in black text printed along the lower left. The message written on the back in pencil reads: "Dear Friend We arrived safely & found all well hoping your are well I remain Yours Sincerely Mrs. J.W. Smith" Addressed to "Mrs. V Fisher Walkerton Ontario," The postmark reads "Guelph, Ont. Aug 4 1908" at "230pm"and is stamped in black ink on the back. |
