Description
A yearbook from the Guelph General Hospital School of Nursing, class of 1958. The cover of the book is tan with maroon coloured text. The text on the cover reads "Manu Cordeque", which means "Hands and Hearts" in Latin. The date 1958 is printed at the bottom of the cover. There is an image of a lit lamp and a diploma.
Inside the yearbook there is black and white photographs of the medical staff, the head nurses, the teachers faculty, and students. The first couple pages are typed messages from the Director of Nurses, Miss Ruth Gaw, the Chairman of the board of Commissioners, F.S. Mackay, and the President of the medical staff, E.L. Barton, M.D.. The following pages cover school events and the graduation. The yearbook also includes poems and stories written by students. Close to the end of the book there are advertisements from the yearbook's sponsors and graduation photos for the class of 1958.
On the bottom of the front cover there is the numbers 0097-02, which is handwritten in pencil. These numbers represent the old catalogue number from the Guelph General Hospital School of Nursing Alumnae Association.
