Postcard from Guelph, Ont. to Toronto, Ont. postmarked 1923. Published by "THE VALENTINES & SONS UNITED PUBLISHING CO. LIMITED, TORONTO AND MONTREAL" "PRINTED IN USA". The front of the postcard features a view of St. George's Square and a portion of the east side of upper Wyndham St. and Douglas Street, Post Office, flower bed and Blacksmith Fountain. There are street cars on road.. The image is captioned "ST. GEORGE'S SQUARE, POST OFFICE AND UPPER WYNDHAM STREET, GUELPH, ONT., CANADA" in black text printed along the lower middle. The message written on the back in black ink reads: "Dear Edith We are waiting for your forties so I am sending you each a cold. Mother" Addressed to "Miss Edith Russell 437 Jarvis Street Toronto Ontario", The postmark reads "Guelph, Ont. and is stamped in black ink on the back. |
