Postcard from Guelph, Ontario to Brantford, Ontario, postmarked Sept 11, 1911. Published by RUMSEY & CO. 1528 QUEEN ST. WEST, TORONTO, CANADA. The front of the postcard features a vertical view of St. George's Anglican Church, Guelph from Arthur Street showing a portion of the footbridge. There is a river in the foreground and both the church and the footbridge are reflected in the water. The image is captioned "ST. GEORGE'S CHURCH, GUELPH, CANADA" in black text printed along the top left. The message written on the back in black ink reads: "Guelph Sept. 8/11 Gramma Brown took a rather bad turn to-day and also yesterday and is in a very weak Condition at present-we are all in an Anxious Mood at present w=Watson" Addressed to "Mrs. Geo F Sterne Brantford Ontario 138 Bruce Street" The postmark reads "Guelph, Ontario 11 Sep 1911" at "830am" and is stamped in black ink on the back.. |
