Postcard to Indianapolis, Indiana, postmarked Mar 25 1906. Published by Charles Nelles, Guelph. Printer: Warwick Bros & Rutter Toronto. The front of the postcard features a view of the Blacksmith Fountain in ST. George's Square, the Post Office and buildings on the east side of upper Wyndham Street, Guelph. St. George's Church is at the end of Douglas St. There are people on the streets. The view is displayed in a green and red tinted cartouche with holly leaves, berries and bells and "Greetings" in the scroll. It is a Christmas postcard. The image is captioned "UPPER WYNDHAM ST., FROM POST OFFICE, GUELPH, CANADA" in black text printed along the lower middle. The message written on the back in pencil reads: "Dear Aunty I wish you many happy returns of your birthday - Alice" Addressed to "Mrs Willcox 2218 N Delaware St Indianapolis Indiana" The postmark reads "Ont. Mr 25 06" at "8 pm" and is stamped in black ink on the back. |
