In 1855, the Guelph Rifle Company was created and 11 years later it was incorporated into the 30th Wellington Battalion of Rifles and subsequently designated the Guelph Battery of Garrison Artillery. It was one of the first artillery units in Canada and was the predecessor of the present-day 11th Field Regiment. |
