Description |
Black and white photograph of St. George's Square during Old Home Week. The photograph was taken from a window or elevated location, overlooking St. George's Square and Lower Wyndham Street. Spectators can be seen lining the streets and St. George's Square, watching a horse drawn wagon and marching band walking up the street. Centered in St. George's Square is the Blacksmith Fountain. Behind the square to the right is the Bond Hardware Company. A banner with "There's No Place Like The Old Home" on it hangs above the square, as well as multiple British and Canadian Ensign flags hanging across the street. The tower of the City Hall building can also be seen in the distance behind the flags. Someone has written "Guelph, Ontario" in the top right corner of the photograph. |
